In order to create a VCDX design it is good to know what components are needed to create one.
A VCDX design is more then just one diagram.

From my point of view the following components are needed as a minimum:

1) The architectural design document (with logical and physical design diagrams)
—> Design factor description what you are going to build and how.
2) A implementation guide
—> Step-by-step instructions on how to build the environment
3) A test validation guide
—> Verify if the architecture does what is specified in the archtectureal design document
4) An operational guide
—> What are day-to-day operational tasks that need to be done and how to maintain the environment
